Advertisement: DG KASUBA, Dr. Abdallah Alkenanah Visited By The Leadership Of APCON And OAAN In Kano
Kano state Urban Beautification Agency led by it dynamic and energetic Director General, Dr. Tahir Abdallah Alkenanah received in honor the leadership of the Advertisement Practitioners Council Of Nigeria (APCON) in the person of Alh. Bello Kankarofi former Registrar General and Outdoor Advertisement Association of Nigeria OAAN led by it leadership; the secretary, Professor Sola Akinsiku and Alh. Danladi of the B.OT. in his office at the government house.
APCON is a federal government body controlled by the ministry of information while OAAN is an entity, a very strong association that brings together and regulate every member of the advertisement industry.
The delegation of OAAN flew in all the way from Lagos for a progressive discussion with the DG on how to move the industry forward and also look at challenging issues ailing their members as regards advertisement. Matters were discussed at length, agreements and mutual understanding was what made the discussion a fruitful one because both parties were satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.
With so much enthusiasm, the visitors praised the state government for engaging the services of a professional, who not only knows what to do but also have idea on how the Advertisement world works and how to deal with the practitioners. Of course, the pilot visionary leader, His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR made the right choice by bringing Hon. Tahir Alkenanah to run the KASUBA affairs.
They further expressed satisfaction on how they were received by the DG, they commended him on the hospitality and the kind of response they got that they never expected. The former registrar Alh. Kankarofi and Professor Akinsiku who led the team were so pleased with the outcome of the meeting and the DG as well.
