Central Bank of Nigeria CBN’s governor, Godwin Emefiele has promised the Super Eagles $50,000 on every goal scored, when he visited the team in Cameroon at the ongoing Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON), 2022.
The decision was reached by the Coalition Against Covid-19 (CACOVID) team, and the CBN governor conveyed the message to them as they are getting set to prosecute the second stage of the tournament. In the company of NFF President Amaju Pinnick the delegation spoke to all the players, officials and they were all motivated to launch out against Tunisia in their next game. According to the technical adviser (interim coach) Agustin Egwavoen who spoke on behalf of the players said.. “even though money is good but the aim is to go out and do our best, certainly money is good but its not the focus. We must make our country proud by putting our all..”
This second round is the stage that will see the team all the way through to the final and by God’s grace bring back the cup.
