Comparing Tiwa’s Era of CD To Tems & Ayra Starr Streaming Era Is Like Rema to 2Baba – MBA

This is one thing some young Nigerians must stop, comparing those who are supposedly doing well at the moment to their contemporaries who have done great things years back because of the buzz of today. This debate by some young netizens is looked at from another perspective by M.B.A, it says;

Tems and Ayra Star gained spotlight in the streaming era which made things easier for them unlike Tiwa Savage whose team practically sold CDs in the streets back in the days just so she could be heard. Comparing Tems and Ayra Starr to Tiwa Savage is more like comparing Rema to 2Face which is obviously very disrespectful.

Here are other reasons why Tiwa Savage remains the Queen of Nigerian music and why she stands out;

1- Tiwa Savage is a versatile singer, lively performer, a good songwriter and so much more. Her dexterity is really what sets her apart from other female musicians out there. Her ability to switch genres is quite impressive and this was been evident in songs from her album, “Once Upon A Time”

2- She is quite experienced and has stood side by side, sharing the spotlight with world best artists such as 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas, Destiny Child, Leo Wonder and many others.

3- She started singing at an early age which was a factor that helped in making her a prolific musician. She was also a backup singer for some of the world’s acclaimed musicians. Tiwa Savage has made quite a tremendous effort in the Nigerian music industry. She is easily the best because of her experience and accomplishments. Her achievements are quite remarkable and she has been nominated for many awards, most of which she won.

4- In November 2018, Savage won Best African Act at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the FIRST woman to win the category. In 2014, Tiwa Savage became the FIRST female Nigerian artiste to be nominated for BET awards.
