Nollywood Super Star, Funke Akindele ‘Jenifa’ Bags United Nations Aids Goodwill Ambassador

Former Deputy Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the 2023 Governorship election in Lagos, Funke Akindele popularly known as ‘Jenifa’, who also is a movie producer, actor and a successful business woman just bagged ambassadorial deal with United Nation.

Funke has shaped, impacted and put the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood on a global pedestal because of the successes of most of her productions.. the likes of, “Jenifa” and the more recent one, “A Tribe Called Judah” which sold over a billion at the box office in few weeks. Funke who couldn’t help herself had to switch into the ‘Jenifa’ character while reading her acceptance speech.

“A Tribe Called Judah” was a block-buster movie that broke records.. according to her as shared on her social media space,

“I am deeply honoured to have been appointed as @UNAIDS @UnaidsNigeria Goodwill Ambassador. I remain committed to using my voice and platform to support the global fight against HIV/AIDS.
