Before anything, we must understand that good governance is a by-product of democratic culture in the civilised communities of the world. This is so true because the concept is not peculiar to a state or national government but also involves any organization that is having direct contact with the generality of the people.
It has to do with those activities that connects those who govern as well as the governed, civil society organizations, nongovernmental organizations and all other organizations that has to do with human activities.
Good governance is an all-inclusive, participatory phenomenon for the maintenance of sustainable development. This background is to further drive home the Gawuna/Garo agenda of bringing ‘Good Governance’ to the people which also requires all stakeholders coming on board to contribute their quota.
The Gawuna/Garo administration will be a people oriented administration, it will uphold every democratic tenets like every other civilised society in the world.
Governance has to do with a level of trust between the governed and the govern if there must be a synergy from both ends to foster the progress and achievements of any effective government.
