Falz Celebrate With Mom As She Becomes Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) And 58 Others

According to Hajo Bello, chief registrar of the supreme court, said the promotion of the 58 lawyers was approved at the 159th plenary session of the committee chaired by Olukayode Ariwoola, chief justice of Nigeria (CJN).

“The rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is awarded as a mark of excellence to members of the legal profession who have distinguished themselves as advocates and academics..”

A brief background about Funmi Falana;

Funmi Falana is the mother of famous Nigerian rapper and actor, Lanre Falana popularly known as ‘Falz'(Da Bahd Guy) and of course wife to popular eloquent lawyer, Femi Falana, a Nigerian activist and lawyer.

She attended St. Louis Girls’ Grammar School, Akure, Ondo State, obtained her bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Benin, and later bagged her law degree (LL.B) at the University of Lagos.
Fummi later obtained her master’s degree (LL.M) from the University of Lagos as well.

Funmi Falana currently serves as the National Director of Women Empowerment and Legal Aid (WELA), a non-governmental organization that defends the rights of women and children.

She belongs to some professional and leadership associations within and outside Nigeria. she is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, West African Bar Association and International Bar Association, Member, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
