Why Nasiru Gawuna Can’t Be Compared To Abba Kabir Yusuf When It Comes To Governance – Dr. A.A.T Alkenanah
For the umpteen times I will say this again, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna is not some rookie coming to learn on the job at that level of governance. Since the beginning of the fourth republic from 1999 till date Kano has never been under a godfather and we can’t let that happen now.
We will neither welcome the idea of having a stooge in the helm of affairs, for Kano is bigger than that. A man who will learn on the job or better still be told what to do because that is the obvious scenario here.
When it comes to administrative intelligence Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna is way ahead and this is because he rose from the ranks having the exact knowledge required from every cadre in the framework of politics in a democratic settings, from local government to the state as number the two man.
Governance is not oratory nor is it littering the whole place with a particular color and selfish idea of an individual, but a collective responsibility from those who govern to the people. And Dr. Gawuna is that symbol who can best be described as the link between government and the people in the true sense of it.
In the last 5days before the March 11, 2023 gubernatorial election, I will do some more critical analysis on this choice because he has worked with 3different Governors and like they say, ‘you can’t buy experience!’
