The separation from boys to men continues as Barcelona have lost both of their matches against Real Madrid so far this season, and are only guaranteed one more opportunity for redemption before the summer.
That opportunity comes up on April 21 in a La Liga match at the Bernabeu, which already it’s in doubt as to the viability of this Barca team after suffering a 4-1 thumping from Madrid, with Vini Junior scoring a hat trick and fellow Brazilian closing the score chat by adding his own.
With that being said, both teams are still alive in the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, so they could cross paths in either of those competitions.
Contrary to what many think, Barcelona sporting director, Deco has confirmed that Xavi is not in danger of losing his job, saying; “Nothing has changed. It is just one defeat. The manager still has the trust from the president and everyone inside the club. It’s a tough defeat and a trophy we wanted to win, but nothing more than that.”
