Nigeria’s Amusan Sets World Record In 12:06 Seconds

Oluwatobiloba Ayomide ‘Tobi’ Amusan is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specialises in the 100 metres hurdles and also competes as a sprinter. She’s from Ogun state, Ijebu Ode to be precise, born April 23, 1997. Attended the University of Texas in the United States of America.

Tobi Amusan representing Nigeria, in the early hours of Monday set a world record, twice, to win the 100m hurdles race at the World Championships in Oregon, USA. First, she won the semi-final in 12.12 seconds. Then, she blew away her rivals in the final to win the gold medal with a world record time of 12.06 seconds, Nigeria’s first ever.
