Super Star Actress and Model, ‘The General’s Daughter’ Angel Locsin Celebrates 38
A phenomenon, enigmatic personality and a blessing to the world is Angelica Locsin Colmenares, who was born April 23, 1985 in Santa Maria, Bulacan Philippines. She’s a Filipino actress, model and humanitarian.
Angel Locsin as she’s popularly known is famous for her dramatic roles and portrayals of heroines and mythological characters in film and television. She is a recipient of various accolades, including four Star Awards, three FAMAS Awards, two Box Office Entertainment Awards, and a Luna Award.
Angel Locsin caught the Nigerian attention in one of her block buster series “The General’s Daughter” where she acted as Lt. Rhian Bonifacio an indoctrinated military spy nurse, a fierce but soft and loving character that endeared her into the hearts of many Nigerians including young and old alike and I myself, also got hooked to her personality since that series hit our airwaves in 2021.
Known for her humanitarian efforts, Locsin has been named one of Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy by Forbes and Asia’s Leaders of Tomorrow by Tatler. She promotes various causes, including disaster relief, education, and women’s rights. Locsin was noted for her field missions to settlement camps of internally displaced persons during the 2017 armed conflicts in Mindanao. A public figure, she was cited as the world’s sexiest woman by FHM Philippines in 2005 and 2010.
