DJ Khaled Excited As Buju Banton Returns To United States After 6 Years
Jamaica dancehall super star, Mark Myrie musically known as Banton Banton (Gargamel) confirmed his retuned to Miami, United States of America after 15 years in a video shared by DJ Khaled expressing gratitude for a journey that has been characterized by both triumphs and tribulations.
Remember, Buju went to prison in February 22, 2011 after he was convicted for drug trafficking. He was sentenced for 10 years imprisonment but was later reduced to 7 years after the gun charges was removed which saw his release in 2018.
In a heartfelt video message, Khaled exclaimed, “This is real time, bless up to the love to everybody worldwide, sending nothing but love and good energy.”
Reflecting on the reunion, Khaled expressed more gratitude for the opportunity to reconnect with his longtime friend and collaborator. “I haven’t seen my brother here in Miami,” he revealed, “I am so blessed. It’s been about 15 years since we’ve seen him in Miami or what we call the United States.”
“Buju Banton, welcome back to your second home,” Khaled declared, echoing the sentiments of countless fans across the nation.
Buju was deported back to Jamaica in 2018 after he was released from prison which means he’s return to the USA was not possible. But after all the ups and downs this is finally resolved, the visa issue and now, Buju make his grand entry into the United States flying a private jet owned by DJ Khaled.
