Elon Musk Has Taken Over From Bernard Arnault As World Richest Man With Over $230 Billion

Many have created companies that employ tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of employees around the world and are behind some of the best known brands, including Microsoft, Amazon, Tesla, Google and Nike. The majority are self-made, meaning they started they created their fortunes themselves, rather than inheriting them.

Others, like Bernard Arnault and Rupert Murdoch had a bit more of a leg up to start by joining family businesses, but expanded their fortunes greatly and went on to create empires in their respective industries.

Many billionaires hold much of their net worth in the stock of the company they founded. As that stock price moves, their fortune moves along with it.

With the current development as of June 2023, Twitter CEO and owner Elon Musk has taken over from Bernard Arnault $215 Billion, he’s now the current world richest man with estimated worth of $235 Billion.

He was born Elon Reeve Musk in June 28, 1971. Elon is a business magnate and investor. He is the founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX; angel investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc.

Owner, CTO and chairman of Twitter; founder of the Boring Company and X Corp. Co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI; and president of the philanthropic Musk Foundation.

Musk is currently the wealthiest person in the world according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and Forbes’s Real Time Billionaires list as of June 2023, primarily from his ownership stakes in Tesla and SpaceX, with an estimated net worth of around $225 billion according to Bloomberg and $235 billion according to Forbes.
