The heavyweight title rematch ended with a split-decision victory which saw the Ukrainian triumphed in 115-113, 116-112, 113-115.
Oleksandr Usyk retained his heavyweight titles by outpointing Anthony Joshua again. Even though there was an improvement on the part of AJ but that was not enough to handle a determined Usyk who sees nothing but victory which he later dedicated to his country.
The sharp jawline from AJ was there, he was a little more mobile than usual, pragmatic and enthusiastic but that didn’t deliver the desired result in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
AJ was not happy with the outcome after putting so much hard work over the last one year but as a sportsman he demonstrated that in good faith even though he was almost leaving the arena before he was prevailed upon to return.
