According to Lagos State Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, who was interviewed on Monday 18th of September on TVC Breakfast show, “Your View”, Benjamin said the speculation flying around that Governor Babajide Sanwoolu may have Sam Larry working under him because of some images on social media of the Governor and the alleged suspect is not true.
Hundeyin said that, on Friday last week a senior aid to the Governor called to say they don’t know the said Sam Larry, and that nothing should interfere with Police investigation, which they maybe thinking otherwise because of the Governor.
Following the Friday’s call, on Saturday Governor Sanwoolu by himself personally put a call through to also make his stance known on the matter and urged the police to do a thorough and proper investigation leaving no stone unturned.
The spokesperson who clearly states that the investigation has commenced with full backing of the appropriate authorities and it’s going to touch on so many areas, including setting individuals whose names were mentioned.
He also ask the public to come with any useful evidence they have, assuring them that they can trust the police this time.
Stating that for the fact that there are many video evidences on social media, the courts may not rely 100% on them unless they come from trusted quarters. The spokesman urge people to take advantage of the police number and give information, they can even hide their identity if they don’t feel comfortable coming to the station or there may even be an arrangement on meeting places for those who agreed to come with useful information to aid the police on this investigation.
