The way this wave is going, it won’t be out of place if every 20th of January is declared Tunde Ednut’s day because of obvious reasons, his birthday has turned into a unifying event world over.
Ednut’s birthday was massively celebrated simultaneously around the world from US to UK; Dubai to South Africa, Ghana to Kenya and in Nigeria, as Lagos was gigging Ibadan was having a blast, Port Harcourt was louding it, Owerri was not left behind in the heat, Abuja the nation’s Capital was litted up just for one man and you know ‘Warri no dey carry last’, Asaba was spot on just to celebrate him.
Tunde Olaoluwa Adekunle popularly known as Tunde Ednut( King Tunde, Mufasa, Mazi Tunde Ednut) must be doing something right that is touching the lives of people across board especially the entertainment industry. The testament to this fact is how the entertainment industry from comedians, skit makers to artists and producers were showering encomium on him, how selfless he’s, lifting people from grass to grace, showing support to whoever needed it and the list is endless.. those who matter in the industry took it upon themselves to organize his birthday party at different locations with their funds which speaks volume as to the kind of man he is.

Tunde Olaoluwa Adekunle (born 20 January 1986), as he’s popularly called Tunde Ednut, is a Nigerian blogger, comedian, entertainer and musician noted for his blog and songs “Jingle Bell” and “Catching Cold”, which was a Headies award nominee for best pop single at The Headies Awards of 2013. He is widely regarded as one of the most prominent bloggers in Nigeria.
In 2021, Ednut was named the Most ‘Searched Media Personality’ at the Net Honours Class of 2021. In that same year, he was listed by Ynaija as one of the most powerful young Nigerians.
Tunde Ednut met with some challenges growing his brand; On 22 December 2020, Ednut’s verified Instagram account with over 2.6 million followers was deactivated that he violated the app’s community guidelines which led to the removal of his account from the platform.
On 10 January 2021, Ednut created a new Instagram account, with the username Kingtundeednut which by Wednesday 13 January, he had already garnered 1 million followers, that became a trending topic on Twitter.
Three days after reaching 1 million followers, the account was however deactivated again due to several reports from unknown persons. Same month, Instagram reinstated Ednut’s account after fellow Nigerian stars rallied support asking that the account should be restored. In 2023, Ednut’s Instagram was disabled by Meta with 7.5M fans. He, however created another page which has over 3million followers now @mazitundedenut.
