Former Nollywood Super Star Actress, Regina Askia Miraculously Healed Of Cancer
It came as a shock to many as veteran Nollywood actress and one of those first set of actors who put the industry on the limelight, Regina Askia-Williams announced on her social media space how she survived what looked like a death sentence already but survived it miraculously.
The emotional toll was already telling on her as she sought prayers from family members, consolation from loved ones to weather the storm that she just suddenly find herself in.
How only a routine check up suddenly becomes a nightmare and almost taking her peace if not for divine intervention. Regina Askia known for beauty and unique looks in the industry stands her out, personally; I was attracted to her eyes.. some say it’s a ‘cat eyes’ but above all she’s always a delight to watch in those days of the early Nollywood reign.
Since she relocated to the United States of America, marriage, family life took our dear screen goddess away leaving many yearning for the good Nollywood movie days.. “Life is so very and no one, absolutely NO ONE, has the promise of tomorrow. Psalm 90 vs 12 says teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Let us be kind because you never know what battles we each are facing. It is well”
The beginning of her weird and scary post which got many talking.. it continues as she narrates a true life incident which almost sound as a script.. “A routine doctors check may throw up a curve ball that gives you just a few months to say goodbye. Out of the blue, no rhyme no reason, increased platelets in a routine check led to the need for further investigations. A chest X-ray revealed something of a 5cm mass on the right side of my trachea. What!!!..
“Tracheal masses are extremely rare and almost exclusive to smokers. You cannot begin to imagine my anxiety! How? After working so hard and now when it’s finally time to ‘flenjor’, this??? What happens to my beautiful children? My 92 year old Mom could not survive the loss of another child. I was planning to travel, to write books, so much to do and now this? I was numb, trying my best to process words like rule out Lymphoma, rule out malignant neoplasm of the trachea in the context of ‘me’? Someone who has never smoked? How? I have always been the caregiver, the provider, now a possible patient?”
