Son Of Late Afrobeat Legend Seun Anikulapo-Kuti Turns 40 Today

Seun Anikulapo-Kuti is one of the sons of late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti the crusader who made Afrobeat what it is today around the world. Seun who many saw practically grew up following the footsteps of his iconic father, the ‘abami EDA’, ‘Omo Iya aje’ not just musically but also in activism and as a human right fighter.

Seun was the leader and lead singer who inherited the Egypt-80 band after the death of his father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. Ever since, he has kept that face, memory the band and Fela both shared churning out that which they were known for, good Afro beat music in it originality.

Seun who many don’t know is a football enthusiasts has many creative sides to his personality. His strong support for the English premiere league side Arsenal (Gunners) is amazing, I personally got to know him through a football club called ‘Reggae Boiz’ in Ikeja.

The history of Afrobeat can’t be complete without mentioning Seun as one of the front runners in the music industry in Nigeria and the world over.
