Tony Elumelu Celebrates Birthday, Gifts $5000 Each To One Thousand Young People

Billionaire business man and founder of one of the most powerful banks in Africa, United Bank for Africa(UBA), Tony Elumelu has decided to gift $5000 each a non refundable amount to 1,000 young and promising entrepreneurs in Africa.

Elumelu and his dear wife, Awele started investing in young people across Africa 10 years ago through the Tony Elumelu Foundation. Taking this philanthropic gesture to the next level, he gives “$5000 non refundable seed capital” as he calls it on the occasion of his birthday, today.

“+1 today and no better way to celebrate than announcing the 2024 beneficiaries of @TonyElumeluFDN Entrepreneurship Programme.

“Over 1,000 young men and women from all 54 African countries who will each receive a non refundable seed capital of $5,000 to help start their own businesses.

“This journey began 10 years ago by Awele and I , with a vision to democratize luck and transform lives across Africa .
