Afro Beat First Begotten Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti Celebrates Her 60th Birthday In Style
Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti born on the 24th of may 1961 to Olufela Kuti and Remilekun Taylor in England, United kingdom. She is the first fruit of Afrobeat creator and king Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Aunty Yeni as she is popularly called has been the back bone of the Afrobeat family since the demise of their father and she has remained the rallying point as well. Yeni Kuti, apart from being a dancer (was and still is) also manages the African Shrine and the brand FELABERATION, an annual event to celebrate their legendary father, Fela Kuti.
She is also a broadcaster, she co-anchor’s the program YOUR VIEWS a breakfast show on Television Continental (TVC) alongside Morayo, Tope, Obiajulu, Neemat and Miryam.
She was greatly celebrated and honored today with a befitting gift as she turned 60th.. see pictures below
